This one especially rocks,… great thick texture and composition, what medium? did you varnish it?

This is oil on canvas, and yes, it is varnished (damar).

great texture. love the multiple things we can see in this painting. first i saw the painting and i had a view or more of what could be on the painting, but the sketch made me look just for one thing, i think the sketch put limits on the interpretation of the painting.

but nice work it reminds me some paintings of Amadeo de Souza- Cardoso – the colours, the face (that the sketch made me see).

I see what you’re saying about the sketch limiting the interpretation of the painting. I think it also shows that one might end up with a completely different result going from rough sketch to painting.

I have to check Amadeo de Souza- Cardoso’s work.
